-What is the meaning of Coda Lykia?
Coda is a sign in music notes. The word has Italian roots and means “tail”. Charles Burkhart (pianist-composer) says, “Coda requires to “look back” on the main body and allow listeners to “take it all in”, and “create a sense of balance.” Lykia is located in Antalya, Turkey, named after after an ancient civilisation which once ruled that area.
Nowadays, Lykia is known as one of the best world long-distance hiking trails stretching for more than 400 miles through coastline, forests and mountains, covering breathtaking views over Mediterranean sea and providing deep history for the archaeologist. Our main mission is to ‘look back’ to Lykia, connecting art, history and archeology. Coda Lykia was founded in 2019 by Benan Ayvaz.
